Our goal at PWDT is to help create a positive, stress-free relationship between people and their dogs.
We offer dog training solutions for puppies, adolescent and adult dogs with behaviour issues, to senior dogs.

Do you wish someone could just take your pup and hand them back to you with their foundation behaviours taught for you?

Then our In-home Puppy Board & Train is for you!
We will get your puppy foundation behaviours up and going for you, and show you how to get the behaviours so you can easily continue to keep them progressing smoothly.
Let us help relieve your frustration with puppy training and do the heavy lifting for you to set you and your pup up for success.
In-home Puppy Board & Train

For pups 9 weeks - 4 months of age at the start of their stay

Pup must have been in your home for at least 1 week prior to their stay

Pup stays Mon. to Fri., and goes home on weekends to be with their family

You drop off Mon. am (prearranged time), or we pick up within Guelph for an added fee
-
We drop off pup back home and give a 30min. lesson on Fridays to show you what your pup has learned and how you can implement their new behaviours over the weekend

Do you live out of town and need pup to stay the weekends? Will you be away on vacation and need a different drop-off day?

2, 3 or 4 week stays (the longer the stay the stronger the behaviours become as we add in distractions)

Formal training sessions throughout the day including sit/down/stand, leave it, drop it, recall, loose leash walking, intro. to grooming/handling, place, stay, more if time permits

Continuous informal training including, potty training, chew training, puppy biting, greetings...

This is a very influential period for your pup, hence, we include a variety of social outings to help them become a well-mannered, confident pup

Pictures and/or videos sent throughout their stay

60 min. transfer session on the last Friday of their stay, with a pdf. of the written steps

Pup must be up-to-date on their vaccines according to age, (bordetella is recommended) and show no signs of illness or injury

Maximum of 2 board & train pups at one given time, to allow individual attention for optimum success

$160/day (minimum 2 weeks; 10 days)
PRIVATE SESSIONS
We come to you!
Private coaching sessions in your home or the community as needed.
Would you like to learn how to train your dog? Do you have the time to put in the daily work to get the results you want? Then private coaching sessions are for you!
Beginning with our initial consultation, we discuss all your concerns, our dog training methods, go over how your dog is interacting with its environment and the relationship it has with the family members. We then come up with a plan specific to your needs. Training sessions are scheduled once per week. We will teach you positive reinforcement techniques to get the results you want. We teach your dog while explaining the steps, then coach you through the steps as you give them a try. We then give you written instructions of the steps for you to practice during the week.
For puppies, dogs with behaviour issues, fearful or reactive dogs or seniors.

VIP Overnight Stays
Limited availability. For select, current or past clients of PWDT who are looking for a place to take care of their well-behaved dog for a short stay. Your dog will become a part of our family for their stay, with regular walks, play-time, and cuddles. Updates throughout their stay. Since your dog will be living in the home of a trainer, you don't have to worry that all your hard work will go out the window because, well, we taught you!
